MCSI Updates web site to Dot Net Nuke 9.2
Found the time to work on taking care of our own requirements.
MCSI Updates web site to Dot Net Nuke 9.2. Its been about 8 years since we did a complete overhaul of our web site and the message we conveyeed with it. We have added new services and dropped some old ones. Working on this upgrade has been simultaneously a footdragging experience and an exciting opportunity to put some new initiatives and tools to the test.
We intend to push Dot Net Nuke based sites to our clients who would most benefit from the platform. Our plan is to include some very sophisitcated add-on tools to give our potential clients a strong starting point for their web site investments. One of the major enhancements is the addition of the Easy DNN set of modules and themes as part of our offerings in all but the $250 Brocure DNN plan. That means that our clients can, out of the box, have features like:
- Easy DNN Rotator
- EasyDNN Gallary
- EasyDNN News
- EasyDNN Mail Chimp
- EasyDNN Maps
- EasyDNN Forms
- EasyDNN Themes
For the Basic Plan, these modules can be had for minimal costs from $15 for the rotator to $50 for the News module with other prices in between. For the Professional and greater plans these are included for no extra charge.
For E-Coomerce sites we have two offerings, the Classified Pro or Smith Cart store modules. The Classified Pro module is offered at retail in the Basic Plan, a $100 discount in the Professional Plan and included free in the Business or Ultra plans. Smith Cart is offered at retail only for the Basic through Ultra plans at this time.
Of course if a client prefers a diffeent store fromt package like Catalook or some other product we will implement it for them.
At the heart of these offerings is the Dot Net Nuke (DNN) content management plan. It has been around for more than 15 years and is constantly upgraded to meet the most modern needs of today's web presence requirements. Out of the box, DNN offers several features including a well implemented Social Groups Module that provides a facebook like presence. Security for your investment is good enough to meet Department of Defense and Department of Energy requirements. DNN is as solid a CMS as you are going to get out there. And the community edition is at no cost, while the Evoq editions can be rather pricey if you require the enhancements that Evoq provides.
As for the rest of our new web site, we still provide explanations of the many IT related services provided by us along with suggestions on how to get a project concept off the ground. We are also providing a monthly news letter through Mail Chimp to keep our partners and clients up to date on happenings with Malluf Consulting Services.
